• This predominantly blue room is filled with Moorish sculptures. Its balcony, suspended over the adjacent small canal, offers a splendid view that takes in the Grand Canal and the Giudecca Canal glimpsed through the imposing statues adorning the Salute Church.
The Fireside Room:
• The dominant pastel colors of this room bring to mind the brilliant hues of the white marble on which Venice is built. A 19th century fireplace from a Veneto Country house has pride of place in this romantic room. Lie back and listen to the sound of the water lapping lightly on the stone below.
The Doge's Room:
• From the deep red velvet walls to the gold leaf finish of the furnishings, the Sala del Doge offers a contemporary and self-referential take on Venetian style. A large crystal and gold Murano chandelier dominates the room; atmospheric views of the city can be seen through its five arched windows.
The Oriental Room:
• This room pays homage to the sea and the explorers who left by ship from Venice's lagoon headed toward unknown and new lands. Blue and gold silk hangings adorn the windows and walls and the black lacquered Chinese furniture and Burmese statues hark back to the legendary ancient Silk Road. The original dappled Venetian marble floor offers a perfect counterpoint to the golden ceiling.
Sala Noire:
• From the dark purple walls and rich chocolate-colored curtains to the massive black chandelier hanging above the bed, this room is swathed in the sensual shades of the spices and coffee that made Venice's fortune. A wooden staircase winds up from the foot of the bed and leads to a mosaic- tiled bathroom, completing the Sala Noir's opulent and exotic atmosphere.
