Fun Fact: The White City section of Tel Aviv was built during the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s, when designers decided that the Bauhaus style would be adopted for buildings here. Now the biggest display of Bauhaus architecture in the world, Tel Aviv was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003.
Traveler Tip: In Israel, practically every form of Western currency is accepted, especially American dollars. However, most purchases of less than $20 will need to be made with Israeli shekels. |
