Group Department
American Express Vacations has a dedicated team of Group Specialists to assist American Express travel counselors in booking Group travel for their clients.
To be considered a Group, a minimum of ten hotel rooms must be booked (please note that some hotel chains may allow less than 10 rooms—please check with the Group Sales Department). Group rates are quoted as gross, and are commissionable. When an American Express Vacations Group Specialist quotes Group air/land rates, they include the following: airfare, U.S. departure taxes, hotel accommodations, taxes, maid/bellman gratuities, transfers (if applicable) and any Group amenities to which the Group may be entitled.
A minimum deposit of $50 per person is required for all land only Group packages, $100 per person is required for bulk air and land packages and $50 per person plus the cost of airfare for all published air and land Groups. American Express Vacations cannot block space until the deposit and signed contract are received from the American Express travel counselor.
